Icelandic Adventure and Luxury

Experience the best of Iceland with this custom chauffeured tour of Iceland’s largest city and unparalleled natural landscapes. Packed with adventure, culture and exquisite culinary experiences from start to finish, Iceland is a magical place to vacation.

Reykjavik and the Surrounding Countryside

Starting in Reykjavik, enjoy a private, authentic food tour through the city, experiencing more than ten local cuisines as your guide leads you through the city’s unique neighborhoods. You’ll stay in one of the cities’ premier five-star hotels, right in the heart of the city. Then, unleash your adventurous side for a day of ice cave exploration or glacier snowmobiling! Guides will get you equipped and lead you to some of the countries most stunning views across Langjökull Glacier. Or, bask in the culture of the country and take in the famed National Museum of Iceland, highlighting the entire history and culture dating back to the Vikings and medieval times.

The Golden Circle

We’ll set you up to take a private driven tour of the Golden Circle, Iceland’s most famous natural attraction. Don’t miss out on the exploration of Geysir and Gullfoss! Geysir, a famous hot spring in the geothermal area of Haukadalur Valley has boiling mud pits and exploding geysers including the lively Strokkur which spouts water 30 meters (100ft) into the air every few minutes. Gullfoss is one of Iceland’s most iconic and beloved waterfalls. This tremendous waterfall is located in the canyon of the Hvítá river where the water cascades 32 meters (105ft) down in a powerful display.

That evening, experience a six-course surprise tasting menu with optional wine pairings at Matarkjallarinn. Featuring authentic Scandinavian cuisine, this famous restaurant is situated in a 160-year-old building in the center of Reykjavik. Enjoy this secret menu which utilizes the best ingredients the island has to offer.

Akureyri: Capital of the North

After three days in Reyjkavik, your chauffeur can take you up to Akureyri. Akureyri is a city at the base of the longest fjord in Iceland, the Eyjafjörður. It is Iceland’s second largest city, surrounded by mountains, and features a beautiful harbor. Enjoy a short guided hike of the Grábrók Crater, a moon-like terrain of crater domes and volcano rims. Then see the Hvitserkur sea stack along the black sand beach. A majestic natural monolith which was once the plug of a volcano. As erosion would have it, the rock has two holes at its base, which gives it the appearance of a dragon drinking from the Atlantic Ocean.

In Akureyri you’ll dine in the area’s premier restaurants and stay at the luxe Hotel Kea, which features a view of the Eyjafjörður. Take in the city’s many unique museums with private tours, then visit the Mývatn Nature Baths and take a relaxing dip in the soothing mineral rich waters situated among stunning natural beauty. Set on geothermally heated pools and steam baths, the Mývatn Nature Baths are a modern continuation of the centuries old Icelandic bathing tradition. Join a luxury cruise to whale watch, visit the “Waterfall of the Gods” and relax with a massage in the day spa!
