Days 1-2

Accommodation: Umi Hotel

Welcome to the land of fire and ice! On your first day, pick up your rental car and drive the Golden Circle, witnessing some of Iceland’s most stunning natural wonders including Strokkur Geysir, Kerid volcanic crater, Skalholt cathedral and the Nesjavellir geothermal power plant. Make your way to the Umi Hotel to soak in the hot tubs and relax before your dinner reservation at the hotel.

Catch the morning ferry to the Westman Islands after a relaxing night. The Islands are a great place to hike, rent bikes and sightsee. Enjoy dinner there before heading back on the evening ferry.

Days 3-5

Accommodation: Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon

Another amazing adventure awaits you today. After a leisurely breakfast, venture out on a snowmobiling tour. The snowmobile ride will take you to a new ice cave that gives you a good insight into how the glacier works. Zip up your snowsuits, it’s gonna be epic!

Wow! Afterwards, drive to your hotel for the next 3 nights, the Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon.

Fuel up at breakfast for a 3-hour glacier hike this morning. Enjoy lunch in Skaftafell afterwards at an excellent food truck. Then head back to your hotel to relax and recoup from all the activity of the last few days. Find dinner in town or we can make reservations for you.

Enjoy a lazy morning before boating among icebergs and exploring the lagoon by Zodiac boat this afternoon. When possible the Zodiac boat goes almost all the way up to the glacier (as close as is safe)!

Day 6

Accommodation: Hotel Grimsborgir

Today is a driving day! Take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy lunch on the way to your hotel for the evening, the Hotel Grimsborgir. Without stops, it is about a 4-hour drive, but we encourage you to take your time. Enjoy your surroundings and take in the sights and sounds of this beautiful country.

Days 7-8

Accommodation: Hotel Budir

This morning you will begin your drive to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, which is a region in western Iceland known for its dramatic landscapes. At its western tip, Snæfellsjökull National Park is dominated by Snæfellsjökull Volcano, topped by a glacier. Tonight you can relax at your accommodations and enjoy a 3- or 5- course dinner at Hotel Budirs’ Gourmet Restaurant.

After your first night at Hotel Budir, take your choice of hikes all over the Snaefellsnes Peninsula in the morning. In the afternoon, you will head out on a Whale Watching tour.

Day 9

Accommodation: Hotel Borg

On your last day in Iceland, you will head inside a glacier and explore an ice cave on your hike. It is magical. We will make you a special dinner reservation in Reykjavik to celebrate a wonderful trip and your last evening.

Day 10

This morning, head to the famous Blue Lagoon to relax and rejuvenate before heading to the airport, returning your rental car and heading home. Until next time!
