Days 1-2

Accommodation: Umi Hotel

After you land in Reykjavik, grab your rental cars and head to the nearby Blue Lagoon. After enjoying this one-of-a-kind wonder, you’ll have a 2 1/2 hour drive along the South Coast of Iceland to your home for the next 2 nights, the UMI Hotel.

Get up and get ready to head “into the country” for a day long Super Jeep Tour. Landmannalaugar is an otherworldly place in the Icelandic wilderness known for natural pools.

Day 3

Accommodation: Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon

Start your day with a morning drive of a little more than 3 hours. Your destination is Jokularsalon, otherwise known as the Glacier Lagoon. After your RIB boat ride be sure to stop at the Black Sand Beach near the entrance to the salon. You’ll stay overnight at the Foss Glacier Lagoon Hotel.

Days 4-5

Accommodation: Hotel Geysir Iceland

After your breakfast you’ll head 20 miles north to Skaftafell in Vatnajokull National Park. We’ll arrange for a guided walk onto the glacier and you’ll also visit a breathtaking Ice Cave. Grab some lunch and head back to the Ring Road for a 4 hour drive to Geysir.

The next day you’ll start with a easygoing breakfast. Then you can start your day with the amazing Gullfoss. In the afternoon we will arrange for some white water rafting on the Drumbo River. After this exhilarating day you’ll head back to the Geysir Hotel for the evening.

Days 6-8

Accommodation: Hotel Berg

Check out of the hotel and drive 45 minutes east to Thingvellir National Park. After you’ve taken in all of the sights of this beautiful park, head to Iceland and your hotel for the last 2 nights of your vacation.

Day 7 will be a relatively low key day to include some sight seeing in the AM and a food tour for you and the family in the afternoon. The relaxing day is perfect after the excitement of the previous days.

Enjoy your final breakfast in Iceland this morning before loading the car for the trip back to the airport in Keflavik. Before you go, however, visit and attractions that you missed this morning before heading down to see the Fagradals Mountain volcano before boarding your flights back to the states. On the plane you can begin prioritizing all of the amazing stories you’ll be sharing with friends and family.
